At last

we have a president of another race.
took 43 presidents to get to that accomplishment, though.
isn't it just hilarious how people owned people?
how they could lynch them and not get punished for it.
you're right, it's not funny at all.
not even a drop of humor to it.
yet "back then" people could kill a person of another color and not get punished for it.
but, if they dared kill a white person, they could die.
how does that logic work?
how could someone kill someone because they looked different, and then go to church the next day?
all these things i wonder and i may never know why people did these things.
they felt it was alright.
they can have that reassurance in their gut, but racism and slavery isn't okay.
never was.
on a lighter note-
The Great Debaters is a fabulous watch.
Just finished it, which inspired me to whip up this little patriotic bit.
now i'll leave my dear readers to beg me for more.
